====== Live Streaming Protocol ======

Awesome! You want to show the world the magnificence of your gameplay while in Evictus. That's fantastic and we truly want to support it as much as we can! In order to make sure that your stream does not put our members at a heightened risk, we will uphold the following rules for all members. That way we don't get dunked or in trouble!

===== 1. Stream Requirements =====

==== 1.1 - Basic Rules ====

  - You are able to stream content in our space after verification with a diplomat.
  - You agree to abide by the restrictions and guidelines listed below before you go live.
  - You will not share any intelligence with your stream audience or during your stream.


  - Event shall start in a system with no capital ships on scan
  - Event shall start on a fresh grid with no other ships
  - Video shall mask location, scan, and chat with blur or scramble effect
  - Leader shall be on voice comms
  - Leader shall announce stream and link to others in local via private convo
  - New players joining system shall relocate if they do not wish to be on stream
  - Leader shall not share intel or other alliance information on comms or chat

==== 1.2 - Requirements ====

In order to ensure the safety and prosperity of our alliance, any streamer must take the following technical requirements in mind before going live. 

  * **You may not broadcast Mumble content to the stream.**\\  //It is imperative that you keep our communications clear to prevent leaks in intel. For public streams we therefore require you to isolate the Mumble sound from your stream. Please refer to a **[[https://helping-squad.com/how-to-exclude-audio-voice-com-music-etc-from-your-streamrecording/|a guide such as this]]** to ensure that your Mumble is isolated from your regular content.//\\  \\  
  * **You may not broadcast any in-game content that is intel-sensitive.**\\  //This includes but is not limited to in-game chat channels, d-scan or probe scan windows, system names, structure names, watchlist composition.//\\  \\   
  * **You must announce that you are streaming to fleet/alliance members**.
  * **You may not stream fleets without express permission from the FC**.
  * **Streamed Fleets must have a 5 minute delay**


==== 1.2.2 - Public versus Private ====

There are two ways to stream your content within our alliance; one which is considered to be safe, and one which is considered to be public (and thus unsafe). Whenever you use any streaming service, you may assume that it is unsafe and that security requirements will directly apply as outlined in this policy. However, Discord enables us to provide safe and secure teaching environments for you.

So why is this important? When you want to teach people in Evictus. about the game, we don't want that to be publicly available for intel and security purposes. Instead, you can use the built-in stream option of Discord which you will find here:

By using this functionality, members can use the Discord voice-channel to talk with you and ask questions; all while the stream is only visible to members of the Evictus. Discord. We encourage to use this whenever we want to show things to alliance members to learn/improve.
